About KNEC QMIS Portal
The Query Management System is an integrated electronic system for handling examination-related queries for KNEC.
It comprises of two modules:
- An online (External) system that allows clients to raise queries, attach the relevant documents, and track the progress.
- The Internal system that allows KNEC staff to process queries, (i.e.) receive, verify, validate, and resolve.
How to Access KNEC QMIS Portal
Follow these step-by-step guides to access and login to the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Query Management Information System (QMIS) Portal.
- Explore https://qmis.knec.ac.ke
- Enter your Username and Password (If already you have the login credentials (registered))
If not yet registered,
- Tap on the Register button
- Fill in the above details as required, and click the register button
Your login credentials will be sent to your email.
- Follow the link “click here to log in” The log-in window is displayed
- Enter the Email Credentials
- Tap on the Login button (If forgotten your password, click “forgot password”)
- A New Password is sent to your email.
- Enter the Email Credentials
- Tap on the Login button
Launching a Query on the KNEC QMIS Portal
The following are different types of queries that can be launched on the KNEC QMIS Portal.
Candidate’s Bio Data Amendment
- Access the QMIS Dashboard
- Select bio data query type
- Enter the candidate’s index number
- Select query type, Exam, Year, and Series
- Tap on find
- The window below appears which generates the candidate’s current exam details
- Enter the proposed name in the blank space given
On the required list select one list at a time and attach the required document
- Attach all the documents
- Submit your request
Candidate’s Photo Amendment
- Access the QMIS Dashboard
- Select bio data query type
- Enter the candidate’s index number
- Select query type, Exam, Year, and Series
- Tap on find
- The system will generate the candidate’s current photo. In the space provided for the new photos
- Upload the correct photo
- Select the required document each one at a time and attach
- Attach all the required documents
- Submit the Query
How to Make Query Payment
- Select payment query type
- Enter your National ID Number
- Select Exam, year, Series, Position Worked
KNEC Confirmation of Results Query
Here’s how to confirm your Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) results.
- Login QMIS Portal
- Select the Confirmation Query Type
- Enter the Candidate’s Index Number
- Select Exam, Year, Series if not KCPE or KCSE
- Tap on Find
- The system will generate the candidate’s name
- Enter the recipient’s details
- Select the required document each one at a time and attach
- Attach all the required documents
- Submit the Query
How to Check Your KNEC QMIS Online Query Status
Follow the steps below to check your Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Query Management Information System (QMIS) status online.
- Access the QMIS Online Portal
- Tap on Status
- Enter the Candidate’s Index Number
- Select Exam, Year, Series if not KCPE or KCSE
- Tap on Find
The status of your KNEC query will be displayed.
