UEW Admission Requirements

Here are the minimum admission entry requirements required to study at the University of Education, Winneba- UEW.

These requirements are to be met in addition to the other program-specific requirements

Senior High School (SHS) Certificate Holders.

Must have at least, six (6) WASSCE credit passes including three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science, as well as three (3) Electives in relevant subjects with a total aggregate of 36 or better
Must also satisfy Special Programme requirement(s) for programme(s) chosen.

Five (5) credits at GCE “O” Level, including English Language and Mathematics as well as two (2) “A” Level passes other than General Paper in relevant subjects.

Must possess a Higher National Diploma or its equivalence from a previous field or area of study.
Full-Time applicants must pass an interview.

Must be at least, 25 years by September 1 of the academic year one wants to enroll.

Should have a minimum of a Senior High School Certificate.
DBS, RSA, ABCE, GBCE, and Certificate Holders should apply as mature applicants.
Must pass the UEW Entrance Examination

A Distinction or Credit in an accredited certificate programme OR
Three SHS/GCE Credits pass in the relevant electives and at least three D7 or better in English Language, Mathematics, and Social Studies or Integrated Science.
TVET Applicants must have credits in five subjects, comprising three core subjects including English language and mathematics, and two elective subjects relevant to the programme chosen.

Sign in with your Serial Number and PIN on the voucher.
Choose an appropriate application form and complete it (or edit it if you already have an application and want to edit it).
Complete the bio or supporting data section and proceed to the result and programme selection section.
Before you submit the application ensure that the information provided, especially names, postal address, choice of programme, etc are correct because after submitting the application no corrections can be made.
Print a copy of your completed application form for reference purposes.

Make sure your name is correctly spelled and correctly arranged.
Changes in the name after submission of application and admission if applicable will not be entertained. Make sure you use your own e-mail address and mobile phone number.
You will be updated on the progress of your application/admission through these channels.
Remember to attach scanned copies of your School Certificate(s), Result Slip(s), SSNIT Identification Card – Mature Applicants Only – and any other relevant supporting document(s) to the online application.
