How to Activate Call Waiting

Learn how to activate a call waiting on your phone as an MTN, AirtelTigo, and Vodafone subscriber using a short code. When you’re on a call and a new call comes in, the new call is sent to voicemail. If you want to be notified of new calls instead, turn on call waiting.

How to Turn Call Waiting On and Off

When call waiting is on, if you’re on a call and a new call comes in, you can answer it. The first call is put on hold. Touch to merge the two calls.

To turn call waiting on:

1. Open the Phone App
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Calls
4. Touch Additional settings,
5. Tap to turn Call waiting on

Some carriers automatically control call waiting. If you do not see this option on your phone, contact your carrier for more information.

• To turn call waiting off, go to Additional settings, then turn Call waiting off

How to Activate MTN Call Waiting

MTN call waiting allows a subscriber to accept a second call while already on a phone call. To active using a short code, here’s what to do;
