The National Communications Authority, NCA and the Telecommunication networks in Ghana have been actively working on a short code for individual subscribers to verify the number of SIMs associated with a Ghana card; you just type the shortcode (USSD Code) on your phone, and after a verification process using your Ghana card pin, the number of SIMs associated with the Ghana card will be displayed. Verify the details on your Ghana card.
There will be no need for subscribers to physically go to the Telco to verify the number of SIM cards linked to their Ghana card. same when the short code is operational after the testing has been completed and approved.

How to Check the Number of SIM Cards Linked to Your Ghana Card
Follow these steps to delink your Ghana card with an unknown sim card. To know the number of SIM cards linked to your Ghana card simply dial a shortcode on your phone to verify.
- Dial the USSD Code *402*1# to check the number of SIM cards linked to your Ghana Card
- Select Option 1 (Check SIMs)
- Enter your Ghana Card PIN ( Enter letters and figures without hyphens for verification) e.g GH0000000023
- Enter your Date of Birth (DDMMYY) for Verification (e.g 13061986)
- Once Verify, you will receive an SMS with a list of mobile numbers linked to your Ghana Card, including the corresponding networks.
The information displayed will include the subscriber’s numbers and corresponding networks.

if you identify any unknown mobile number(s) linked to your Ghana Card, request for a delinking of the number(s) from your service provider as soon as possible.
