To check the ingenuity of your admission through the JAMB matriculation list, follow the steps to access the portal.
- Go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/CheckMatriculationList
- Select the Year
- Choose the Year of Admission
- Enter your JAMB/DE Registration Number
- Tap to “Fetch My Details”
You must confirm your name from the matriculation list. Only candidates on this list are recognized as bonafide students from the various accredited institutions.
By implication, if your name is not on this list, your application to the NYSC scheme for the one-year National service shall be declined.
To qualify to be on the Matriculation List:
- Print your Admission Letter Online from the JAMB e-Facility Portal
- Print your Result Slip Online from the e-Facility Platform
- Verify the two documents with the admission officer in your Institution

In the case above, the admission is authentic as being a full-time admission given through the JAMB.
However, if the portal states that your name is not on the list, such as below, it doesn’t still mean that your admission is not genuine (at least not yet). It only means, there is an official step you must take to let your name be fully included in the official JAMB matriculation list.
Not in the matriculation list but not fake;
In the case above, the candidate will just pay for and print the JAMB original result and/or admission letter. After which, if rechecked, the update will change to the first one above.

Whether your admission is on full-time, part-time, distance-learning, or sandwich, an individual student should be able to log in to your first choice University admission portal and check the status.
