JAMB Profile Code is a unique (10-digit) account number given by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board before UTME/DE registration. To be able to create your JAMB Profile code, a candidate should send the National Identification Number (NIN) by text (SMS) to 55019 or 66019 using their phone (mobile) number.

How to Get NIN for JAMB Registration
To be able to generate your JAMB Profile code you must have your National Identification Number (NIN)If you have already registered for NIN, here’s how to retrieve your number.
- Dial *346#
- Select Option 1 “NIN Retrieval”
With your NIN ready, you are now eligible to request your Profile Code.
E.g. Write the word “NIN” then space and add your 11-digit NIN Number and send to 55019 or 66019 in this format (NIN 00123456789).
There should be a space between the word “NIN” and your 11-digit NIN (Note that the number must not have been used by another person to register for UTME/DE in the past).
How to Access JAMB Profile Code via SMS
To generate your profile code for the first time, here’s the step to follow;
- Go to Messaging App on your Android or Apple device
- Tap to Create New Message
- Write your NIN
- Sent NIN to 55019 or 66019
NB: Replace Your NIN with your actual National Identification Number.
A JAMB Profile Code of 10 characters will be sent to the candidate on the same phone number. The phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the candidate’s 2024 application, Examination, and Admission.
Alternatively, to get a JAMB profile code via USSD, simply dial *55019*1*NIN#. You will be sent an SMS containing your profile code for your UTME/DE registration.
