General Admission Requirements
Gaining Admission into an Undergraduate Programme in FULAFIA is basically under two entry methods: the UTME entry and the Direct Entry.
FULAFIA admission requirements through UTME
To gain Admission into the Federal University, Lafia, in 2023, UTME candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must have reached the age of 16.
- Candidates must have at least 6 (six) “Cs (Credits)” grades in their O’level result (s). This must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects related to their course of study. For instance, a Candidate that wants to study law must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and Literature in English.
- Candidates must score at least 170 and above (200 and above for Human Anatomy and Physiology, 210 for Nursing and Radiography, 220 for MLS, and 230 for MBBS) in the JAMB UTME examination.
- Candidates must take the FULAFIA post-UTME screening examination and must perform very well in the analysis (Depending on the course of study)
- Not more than ONE sitting result is accepted for Admission into the Federal University Lafia (FULAFIA)
- Candidates must choose the correct subject combination for their courses.
- Finally, candidates must meet the stipulated cutoff marks for their courses to gain Admission into the university.
FULAFIA admission requirements through Direct Entry
Candidates who wish to gain Admission through direct entry into the Federal University, Lafia (FULAFIA) must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) Credits in their O’level result. This must include English Language and Mathematics. However, the two-sitting result is not allowed.
- Candidates must have also reached the age of 16.
- Candidates are expected to get a JAMB Direct entry form from JAMB to apply.
- Candidates should have the following certificates: OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A level, BSc, HND, ICAN.

How to Apply for Federal University of Lafia
Here are the steps on how to apply via the Admission Portal to become a student of the Federal University of Lafia
First Semester:
- Explore the FULAFIA Admission Portal
- Tap on Apply, Create an account, and verify your Jamb registration number
- Log in with the email and password used @ STEP 1 to generate the Applicant ID
- Copy the Applicant ID and use it as a username to login
- Update your passport Photo
- Tap on the “ADMISSION OPTION” Button to Accept your Admission
- Tap Accept Admission to pay the Admission fee
- Tap on “ADMISSION OPTION” and select the “Generate/Print invoice” Button to Download your receipt
- Tap on PAY SCHOOL FEES, update your bio-data
- Tap on FEES and PAY.
- A pop-up message with your email address and password will appear on successfully paying school fees.
- Log in to your email account to access your matric number
- Proceed to pay your other charges such as faculty, departmental, etc
- Proceed with your course registration
- Go back to the dashboard, tap on Course Registration, and then on “Semester” “First” to register for First Semester Courses.
- Register for your courses.
- Take the printed course registration form to your Level Adviser for endorsement.
- Visit your department (All Students), faculty (All Students), and college (Medical Students), and submit the first Semester CRF.
- Visit the academic affairs and submit all the first Semester CRF.
NB: All payments must be made on the portal. Failure to register at the stipulated time or adhere to the guidelines would attract a penalty
Second Semester:
- Access the Portal
- Login with the Matric Number and password
- Go to the dashboard, tap on Course Registration, and then on “Semester” and then “Second” to register for Second Semester Courses.
- Register for your courses.
- Take the printed course registration form to your Level Adviser for endorsement.
- Visit your department (All Students), faculty (All Students), and college (Medical Students), and submit the second Semester CRF
- Visit the academic affairs and submit all the second Semester CRF.
