Discover the Council of Legal Education – CLE Student Portal via www.cle.or.ke and login with credentials. Candidates can now access the application portal to apply for online remark, ATP examination, make payment, as well as check status.

Council of Legal Education

Following the release of the Advocates Training Programme (ATP) Examination results list, it is notified for general information that applications for remark opened.

Let’s Get Started:

All fees and charges are payable to the Council of Legal Education, NATIONAL BANK OF KENYA,

HILL BRANCH, ACCOUNT NUMBER 01023033161101, or Mpesa Paybill No 4060345. The requisite fees are as indicated in the Students Guide.

Registration Guidelines

  1. Attained minimum entry requirements for admission to a university in Kenya
  2. Obtained a minimum grade of B (plain) in English or Kiswahili and a mean grade of C (plus) in the KCSE or its equivalent
  3. Has sat and passed the pre-bar examination set by the school (where applicable).
  4. Candidates with foreign degrees are required to first apply for clearance here

The following attachments will be required:

  • KCSE/IGCSE/A/O Levels Certificates
  • University Degree Certificate and transcripts
  • Recent Color Passport size photo
  • National ID/Passport, and disability certificate for persons living with disability

Notice

  • All attachments are to be scanned as original documents
  • Attach transcripts as one document
  • All attachments are to be in pdf file format
  • The maximum file size is 2MB

CLE Examination Payment via M-Pesa

The Procedure for paying the examination fee via M-Pesa pay bill is as follows -:

  1. Go to Safaricom Menu
  2. Select Lipa na M-PESA
  3. Choose the Pay Bill option
  4. Input Council of Legal Education paybill number 4060345
  5. Input full Candidates Registration Number as the account number
  6. Enter the amount
  7. Enter PIN then confirm to proceed

How to Login to CLE Student Examination Portal

To access and login into the Council of Legal Education (CLE) student/candidate portal, here are the steps to follow:

  • Visit the CLE Website
  • Select Examination Portal under Quick Links
  • Enter your Registration Number and Password
  • Tap on the Login button

CLE ATP Exam Application

For first-time regular candidates, here’s how to begin:

  1. Access ATP Exam Application Portal
  2. Enter your KSL Number
  3. Tap proceed to register

NB: First-time candidates should register before making any payment.

How to Apply for CLE Online Remark Applications

  1. Explore CLE Candidates Portal via http://exam.cle.or.ke:882/
  2. Enter your Registration Number and Password
  3. Navigate to Academics
  4. Tap on Remarks
  5. Select New Registration

NB: You will see a window with payment information for the remark. On the bottom part of the page, you will see a list of units that are eligible for remark

  1. Select the ones that you want to be remarked
  2. Tap on proceed to payment

The system will also show you the amounts to pay for selected units. Ensure that your account is funded with an equivalent amount of the amounts to pay.

How to Check CLE Application Status

Here’s a simple and quick way to check your Council of Legal Education (CLE) application status online

  1. Check CLE Registration Status
  2. Enter your KSL Number
  3. Tap on the proceed button to view your status
