By enrolling, students are informing the University that they have reported and shall be available for the semester. Enrolling must be done every semester.

Kyambogo University (KYU) Student Online Registration

At Kyambogo University (KYU), all fresh students must undergo Central Registration/Verification of academic documents at the Central Teaching Facility (CTF). After Central Registration, ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS shall report to their respective School/Faculty/Institute for Departmental registration.

A recognized bonafide student of the University is one who has ENROLLED and REGISTERED in accordance with the University Regulations. Registration is an obligatory prerequisite of the University, which must be done at the beginning of each Semester by all students on Government and Private sponsorship. You are therefore urged to complete all the required registration formalities within the prescribed time in order to avoid any inconveniences.

Fresh students, who, for some reason are unable to register or take up their placement by the end of the registration period, shall be deemed to have turned down the offer of admission.

Required Documents for KYU Registration

As indicated in your admission letter, every fresh student shall at the time of Central Registration/Verification of academic documents present the following:

  • Three (3) copies of Registration Forms.
  • Original Admission letter.
  • Original Uganda Certificate of Education (O-Level) Result slip and Certificate plus three photocopies of each.
  • Original Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A-Level) Result slip and Certificate plus three photocopies of each.
  • Original Certificate/Diploma/Degree Academic Transcript and Certificate plus three photocopies of each (For Certificate/Diploma/Degree scheme entrants only).
  • Three Passport size photographs showing your current likeness (head and shoulders).
  • An Identity Card from the previous ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level Schools and/or Identity Card from previous Institutions for Diploma/Certificate scheme, plus a Passport and Student Pass for International students.
  • Original Birth Certificate/National Identity Card plus three photocopies of each. i. Refugee students shall in addition to the above, present proof of Refugee status.
  • Proof of payment of Kyambogo University Mandatory fees.
  • Original National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) fees payment deposit slip plus three photocopies of it.

How to Enroll for Semester Courses at KYU

All students are required to enroll in Kyambogo University (KYU) via the student portal, using the online enrollment system.

  1. Explore https://myportal.kyu.ac.ug/
  2. Verify your data as prompted. The data required for verification is found on your admission letter.
  3. Enter your phone contact and a valid email address

Students are informed that after registering themselves online via Kyambogo University Student Portal are required to print their own REGISTRATION FORM and EXAMINATION PERMIT in order to access lecture rooms, library, examination rooms, and other University facilities.

False Information/Impersonation

Candidates are warned that cases of impersonation, falsification of documents or giving false/incomplete information whenever discovered either at registration or afterwards, will lead to automatic cancellation of admission, award of academic qualification plus criminal prosecution.
