GES Reopening, Vacation and Exams Dates for Third Term (Term 3)
Following the release of the new GES academic calendar, schools are expected to run for a total of 14 weeks in term 3. This implies that academic work will run for 11 weeks, 1 week for revision, 1 week for Examinations, and 1 week for marking and recording of grades. Hence, latest by Friday, December 16, 2022, all schools will vacate for Yuletide.
Besides, Week 6 will be dedicated to the BECE Candidates. The West Africa Examinations Council (WEAC) will from Monday, October 17, 2022 – Friday, October 21, 2022, administer a nationwide Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for all final year Junior High Schools (JHS) in Ghana. This will qualify them for placement into Senior High School (SHS) by CSSPS.
