Who is Eligible to Register for TPIN Number
The following agencies are eligible to register and acquire a Tax Payer Identification Number (TPIN) online at the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).
- Companies or Partnership Businesses
- Individuals
- Non-Governmental Organizations, Clubs, Associations, Missionary bodies & other similar organizations registered with the Registrar of Societies

Zambia Revenue Authority TPIN Registration and Application Procedures
Application is done through a ZRA-prescribed form which can be obtained from the ZRA Portal, Client Services Centres, or the nearest ZRA office. When duly completed, the form is then submitted to ZRA with the following copies of documents:
A limited company registered under the Companies Act

- Go to the ZRA Website
- Select Login
- Tap on Register
- Enter Capture
- Select the registration type and complete the application (g. Individual Resident, Individual Non-resident, Company resident, Company Non-resident, Partnership)

- Enter a one-time password sent to your phone or email and verify

How to Update Tax Payer Identification Number (TPIN)
Following a directive from the Bank of Zambia, all customers making cross-border payments will need a TPIN Number.
To update your TPIN, simply follow the easy steps below:
- Visit Zanaco Website
- Tap on “Personal Banking“
- Tap Self-Service Portal
- Enter your Account Number and NRC in the respective fields
- Tap “Generate OTP“
- A one-time password will be sent to your Zanaco registered mobile number
- Enter the OTP
- Select launch under “TPIN registration” option
- Enter TPIN in TPIN field
- Tap “Choose File” under the “TPIN Certificate” field to upload your TPIN certificate
- Tap “Submit“
