  1. First, to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a Kenyan citizen and a KCSE exam candidate in 2024, according to the University Fund Kenya.

  8. Death certificate of your parents, if they are deceased- a copy of the death certificate if deceased one if only one has passed on.
  9. A passport photo
  10. Your birth certificate.

  1. Visit the URL via www.helb.co.ke. Locate and Tap on Student Portal.
  2. If you have already registered, tap on Login to Acces your account
  3. Select whether you have a “National ID” or not
  4. Confirm if you have your National ID (Mandatory for loan Applications and Students above 19 years old)
  5. Enter your National ID if you Have
  6. Enter your KCSE Index Number if you do not have a National ID
  7. Enter a Valid Email Address and Password

  12. A message will be sent to you to Varify your Telephone Number
  13. Fill in the Necessary details to update your profile
  14. Update your Biodata
  15. Give Consent to the collection of your personal data
  16. Fill in your personal details as indicated in your National ID; once done, Upload your ID and Passport photo, then save to continue
  17. Fill in your Current Resident Details, then tap on Save to Continue
  18. Add your Primary and Secondary schools details
  19. Complete filling in your registration Details and Upload your Admission Letter.
  20. Fill in your Parent’s details.
  21. Submit your Scholarship/Loan Request
  22. Submit your scholarship Request.
  23. Tap on the Loan Loan Product you wish to apply for. Accept the terms and conditions of the loan and add guarantor details.
  24. Enter the Verification Code sent to the Guarantors
  25. Submit your Loan Application
