Trade System is a trade facilitation tool for access to trade forms (Forms NXP, NCX, A) In addition, data exchange between stakeholders in the trade chain. Every registered exporter can use the system. There are several portals for TRMS and they are;
Applicant Portal
For Applicants
Authorized Dealer Bank (ADB) Portal
Authorised Dealers review submissions of exporters and validate trade forms.
Stakeholder/MDA
Pre-Shipment Inspection Agents, Relevant Regulatory Agencies, Shipping Lines & Airlines, and Nigeria Customs Service.
How to Access the Trade Monitoring System, TRMS Portal
- Explore the Trade System’s main website
- Locate and click on portals on the main menu bar list to proceed
How to Register Trade Monitoring System, TRMS
- Explore the Trade System’s main website and scroll down
- Locate and click on the ‘GO TO PORTAL’ under the Applicant section to proceed
- At the bottom of the webpage locate and click on ‘Don’t have an account? Register now’ to proceed
- Select if you are an individual or an organization and type in your Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Click on the continue button to proceed
How to Login Trade Monitoring System, TRMS Portal
- Explore the Trade System’s main website and scroll down
- Locate and click on the ‘GO TO PORTAL’ under the Applicant section to proceed
- Type in your username and password
- Click on the login button to proceed
Note:
- You need a valid TIN from FIRS/Joint Tax Board to be able to access the Form E-FORM NXP on the TRMS
- At any FIRS/Joint tax board office. Update your TIN with an email address and valid phone number.
- For every e-Form NXP application, you need a proforma invoice that you have issued to your trading partner for the specific consignment.
- The e-Form NXP is valid for 180 days after which your processing bank can extend the validity for another 90 days.
- Notifications will be sent via email at every stage of the transaction for monitoring
