Job Vacancy at Ghana Judicial Service

  1. Court Interpreters
  2. Cashier
  3. Court Recorders
  4. Bailiff
  5. Docket Clerks
  6. Process Clerk

COURT INTERPRETERS

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties;

  • Interpret court proceedings from local or foreign languages to English language and vice versa
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized accredited institution
  • Academic qualification in the spoken language(s) will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications and knowledge of internet use.
  • High level of integrity
  • Excellent written oral and communication in English Language
  • Good oral communication in any of the following sets of languages/dialect

Upper East Region:

  • Gruni and any two of the following Hausa, Fulani, Kassim, Talensi, Buli and Twi

Bono Region:

  • Twi (Bono) and any two of the following, Moo, Banda, Wangara, Fulani and Hama

Central Region:

  • Twi (Fante or Asante) and any two of the following: Hausa, Fulani, Nzema Wassa, and Ewe

Eastern Region:

  • Twi (Akunpem or Asante) and any two of the following Krobo, Ga, Hausa, Ewe, and Fulani

Western Region:

  • Nzema and any two of the following Fante, Hausa, Ouwi, Twi, Ahanta, and Brosa
  • Sefwi and any two of the following: Wassa, Ewe, Twi, Onwi and Brosa

Greater Accra Region:

  • Ga and any two of the following: Ga Dangbe, Twi, Ewe, Hausa and Daghani
  • Ga-Dangbe and any two of the following: Ga, Twi, Ewe, Hausa and Dagbani

Northern Region

  • Likpakpaule (Konkamba) and any two of the following: Basere, Hausa, Dagbani

CASHIERS

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties;

  • Make assessments and file court processes.
  • Issue receipts on money paid to court or bank
  • Make entries into cash books.
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements.
  • Prepare revenue and deposit
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Academic Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a recognized accredited institution.
  • Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office Applications and the use of the Internet.
  • Ability to prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements
  • Ability to write Books of Accounts.
  • Knowledge in public sector finance
  • High level of integrity.

COURT RECORDERS

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Record, and type court proceedings/directly
  • Transcribe court proceedings
  • Type Court Orders, Letters of Administration, and Judgments
  • Paste Court Orders, Rulings Judgments in their various books
  • Type Cause List
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Academic Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, HND Secretaryship & Management Studies from a recognized accredited institution
  • Typing speed of 50 w.pm.
  • Good communication and writing skills in English Language
  • Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office Applications and use of the internet
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity

BAILIFFS

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Execute Court Order as Assistant Deputy Sheriff
  • Serve court processes.
  • Make entries in the Bailiff Process Book
  • Keep records of Service, Non-Service, and Execution.
  • Any order duty that may be assigned from time to time

Academic Qualification and Requirements:

DOCKET CLERKS

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties;

  • Arrange dockets for easy retrieval.
  • Place processes on dockets
  • Keep records of the movement of dockets
  • Paste orders/ judgments/ copies of certificates in Order Books
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time

Academic Qualification and Requirements:

  • A minimum of University Diploma or Higher National Diploma from a recognized accredited institution
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of integrity

PROCESS CLERKS

Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Register court processes in the appropriate books and or electronically upload all processes onto the e-Justice platform (dockets)
  • High level of integrity
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Academic Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized accredited institution.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity
