What if the names are incorrect?
You must visit the service shop with your NRC and provide either of the documents.
- A written request must be made and presented by the registered customer to have the details changed to the names of the person they wish to have the number registered; or
- A written instruction by a court or from the appointed administrator of the deceased person’s estate to effect the change in detail. (In this case, documentation to be sent to legal for review and approval)
- A letter from the Police service /or an affidavit from the courts of law to confirm that they have verified the user of the number and instruct Airtel to edit the details held in the database to the details of a verified user whose ID number must be quoted
