University of Reading, UOR Blackboard

With the UOR Blackboard, you have access to announcements from your tutor, key dates, module information, and reference guides. The University of Reading Blackboard provides a one-stop shop for all your course materials. Depending on your module, it may also be used for the following:

  • Discussion Forums
  • Hosting and management of online assessments
  • Collaborative areas for group work with communication and file-sharing facilities
  • Online submission of student work
  • Embedding multimedia content
  • Links to external resources

How to Login the University of Reading Blackboard

To access the University of Reading Blackboard ensure you have your UOR username and password.

  1. Access the UOR Blackboard page via bb.reading.ac.uk
  2. Sign in with Microsoft
  3. Click on the “sign in with Microsoft” button to proceed
  4. Type in your username as your email address and click on the “next” button to proceed
  5. Type in your password
  6. Click on the “sign in “button to proceed
  7. You will be prompted to enter a verification code sent to your phone.
  8. Type in your code and click on the “verify” button to proceed

UOR Blackboard app

You will need to enter the same details when logging in to the UOR Blackboard mobile app (e.g. ab123456@student.reading.ac.uk, then your password and verification code).

You can download UOR Blackboard App from the Apple App Store or Google Play depending on the type of mobile device you use.

  1. Enter “University of Reading” as your institute name
  2. Click on “Web Login”
  3. Enter your login details in the next window e.g. “ab123456@student.reading.ac.uk, your “Password” and security code which will be sent your mobile phone or an alternative email
