UMaT Awaiting WASSCE Applicants
Following the release of the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) results, BSc and Diploma applicants to UMaT are required to update their results on the UMAT Admission Portal. After completing the online application, applicants are required to submit, print, and keep the final printout for any future reference.
All other applicants (Matured, Top-up, Certificate, Pre-Engineering) must complete the online application and submit, print, and post the final printout to the University together with their birth certificate, WASSCE result slip, and two passport photos (white background).

Prospective BSc and Diploma applicants can purchase application vouchers from the following outlets nationwide:

Use the pin and serial number from the e-voucher to log into the application portal to start your application.
- Buy your UMaT Admission Forms
- Go to the UMaT Admissions Portal
- Enter Serial/Reference Number and PIN
- Tap on Login
- Access your Online Application Form
- Fill in all required details
- Review and Submit
- Print a copy of the online application form or Save it as a PDF.
After completing the online application
Certificate, Top-up, Diploma & Mature Applicants:
- Print the application summary, sign it, attach relevant documents, and post it to the University.
BSc Applicants:
- Print and keep a copy of the application summary for future reference. Note that a copy will be requested when reporting to school upon admission.

Here’s how to access the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) admission status checker and check your name on the admission list.
- Go to UMaT Admission Status Checker to access the admission list
- Use your name or reference number to search for the status of your application.
- Click on the “Print” button shown against your name
- Log into the admissions portal with your reference number and pin.
- Download and print your admission letter, fee schedule, and items list.
Note: Only successful applicants will see their names and reference numbers in the list.
