UNIVEN Online Applications for Admission and Hostel Accommodation 2024/2025

Students who intend to enroll for programmes of their choice with the University of Venda (UNIVEN) in the 2025 academic year are hereby informed that the process of ONLINE applications for Admission and Hostel accommodation is now open

The University of Venda continues to offer programmes that are designed to prepare students to be leaders and experts in science, engineering, agriculture, and law as well as accountancy. Prospective Students are encouraged to consider science, accountancy, and law as career choices, and they may choose to pursue their study towards the following qualifications: BSc (Microbiology and Botany); BSc (Financial Mathematics and Applied Mathematics); BSc (Botany and Zoology); BSc (Chemistry and Applied Chemistry), BSc Agriculture, BCom Accounting Sciences, LLB and many more.

For the best chance of success consider enrolling in the programme of your choice with UNIVEN, where future leaders are created. Do not hesitate to apply online on or before the closing date to avoid frustration in the year 2025

Supporting Document

The following supporting documents must be scanned in PDF format and uploaded if available

  • A copy of the I.D./Passport document
  • Matric certificate/Statement of Results/Grade 11/12 report
  • Transcript of academic record and certificate of conduct
  • Degree(s)/Diploma certificates
  • SAQA Evaluation Certificate (If you are an international applicant)

How to Access UNIVEN Online Application Portal

Here’s how to access and login to the University of Venda, UNIVEN online application portal.

  1. Go to UNIVEN Website via https://www.univen.ac.za/
  2. Navigate to Admission
  3. Tap on Apply Online
  4. Start Online Application Process

Steps on the Online Payment Process

Online payment will accept payment for prospective students who will pay using credit and or debit card with the CVV number on the back of the card. Any card without CVV will not be accepted.

Amount to be paid: R100-00

  1. Navigate to “pay by credit card” for payment by credit or debit card
  2. Enter the following credit/debit card details
  • Card Number
  • Card Holder Name
  • Expiry date: Months and Year
  • CVV Numbers: the last three digits at the back of the card
  1. Tap on PAY NOW
  2. Tap on “Authentication is required for the purchase”
  3. To proceed with your purchase,
  4. Submit the One Time Password (OTP) that has been sent to your cellphone.
  5. Enter the One Time Password (OTP) in the space provided
  6. Tap Next
  7. You will get a screen with the following message:  Successful E Payment, press exit.
  8. You will immediately receive a payment receipt notification from the UNIVEN stating as follows “Thank you we have received your application fee″.
  9. Return to the online application web page and continue your application”.

How to Apply for UNIVEN

Start your UNIVEN application process by answering the questions below, and continue with the steps until the system generates a student number.

All applicants i.e., Undergraduates, Postgraduates, South African and International applicants are to apply online.

  1. Login UNIVEN Comprehensive Application Portal
  2. Do you already have a student number? Select No | If Yes Apply Here
  3. Returning to complete application: Select No
  4. Do you have a Qualification Specific Token? No
  5. Read the Application Rules and tick I Accept
  6. Fill in your biographical details (e South African Identify the number, Personal info, street address, contact, residence, and disability info)
  7. Enter Account details
  8. Input Next of kin details
  9. Academic details
  10. Make an Online Payment; Learn how to pay for the UNIVEN application fee online.
  11. Select programme of choice
  12. Create your 5-digit PIN (Should NOT start/end with Zero and Must NOT include repeated numbers)
  13. Print a copy of the application for your records before you submit it online
  14. Upload of the document (Scan and upload a copy of I.D. document or passport, Grade 11 report or statement of grade 12 results, or copy of Matric Certificate)
  15. The student number is generated

NB: Applicants are required to keep their Student Number and 5-digit PIN to enable you to retrieve their admission letter or check UNIVEN admission status.

During the online application process, you may save and return at a later stage to resume the application process.

After successful submission and completion of your online application, you can log into My access page, known as UNIVEN Student Portal to access/view your application details.

UNIVEN Returning Student Application

Step-by-step instructions on iEnabler application process for returning students.

  1. Navigate to MyAccess
  2. Enter your Student Number and PIN
  3. Tap on the Login button
  4. Tap on Academic Application
  5. Enter Previous Qualification (Not Mandatory)
  6. View and Accept Application Rules
  7. Submit Application (Click on the Search button and put the qualification code)
  8. Tap on the qualification to proceed with your application.
  9. Enter qualification Study Choices
  10. Save and Continue
  11. Application Detail: Click Accept application

You will receive the following message “Your application has been received for further processing: Thank you

Steps to Upload Supporting Document

Follow these steps to upload supporting documents via the UNIVEN Online Application Portal

  1. Going to My Access Portal
  2. Login as a Student using your Student Number and PIN
  3. Go to Student Enquiry
  4. Go to Certificate Seen
  5. Choose the type of document you want to upload and
  6. Click on Load/View Document
  7. Upload the document
