Discover the University of the Free State – UFS Student Portal via www.pssa.ufs.ac.za and login with your credentials. Here, students get access to online registration of courses and enroll/change/add modules for the first and second semesters.

Besides, the University of the Free State (UFS) has designed an online Learning Management System (LMS) known as UFS Blackboard eLearn. The UFS Website has other online services for the student such as Kovsie life, Oracle PeopleSoft, UFS self-service, timetables, UFS4life emails, library, success portal as well as exam results.

Here’s how to access and login to the University of the Free State – UFS Student Portal

  1. Visit the UFS Website
  2. Tap on Students on the navigation tab
  3. Move to Student Self Service
  4. Access the Online Registration portal
  5. Enter your Username and Password
  6. Tap Sign in button to proceed

  2. Login with your credentials
  3. Sign in to begin registration

How to Change Courses via UFS Student Portal

Let’s get your registration changes done online:

  1. Explore https://pssa.ufs.ac.za/psp/csprd/?&cmd=login
  2. Enter your Username and Password
  3. Navigate to “My Education Plan”
  4. Move to the “Overview” page. You will be able to see what you have passed or busy schedules
  5. Add modules to your registration by using the ‘Planning’ page
  6. Cancel modules by using the ‘My classes’ page

UFS Proof of Registration

Once completed, the student must download and save a copy of the proof of registration. The proof of registration can be accessed by following the steps below;

  • Access the Student Documentation page
  • Navigate to Menu>UFS Self Service>Student Documentation

Post-registration Actions

  1. Login UFS Blackboard Portal
  2. Verify that your modules appear as you have registered them

NB: It takes up to 24 hours for newly registered modules to appear on Blackboard.

Deregistration of studies and or discontinuation/ cancellation of modules

If a student wishes to deregister studies for an academic year or discontinue/cancel modules, it remains the student’s responsibility to contact the faculty for the relevant process to follow. Non-participation in academic/tuition activities does not constitute a formal termination of studies or modules.

Important note: The financial liability remains with the student for all deregistrations and discontinuations/cancellations not complying with institutional rules.
