The University of Environment and Sustainable Development, UESD Admission Portal

The programme seeks to attract holders of all secondary and post-secondary education certificates (see details below) who meet the admission requirements.  Enrolment will be opened to both local and foreign nationals. Explore the list of top universities in Ghana.

Admission requirements are as follows:

SSSCE/GBCE

Credit Passes in three (3) core English, core Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry, Physics, and General Agriculture with an aggregate score of 24 or better.

WASSCE Applicants

At least a credit in core English, core Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects which should include at least one of the following: Economics; Geography; Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry Physics; Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Crop Science with an aggregate score of 36 or better.

LEVEL Certificate Applicants

Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Besides, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects (or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics and a science subject (for non-science students), and an Arts subject (for science students). A pass in General Paper must also be obtained.

HND/Diploma Applicants

HND Second Class (Upper and Lower Division) holders with the relevant backgrounds may be admitted in the Third Year of the programme after passing an interview, while HND First Class may be considered for admission without an interview. Two-year Diploma (Second Class) holders may be admitted into the second year while three years Diplomas with distinction may be admitted into the third year of the programme without an interview.

Mature Applicants

Mature Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years or above with passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/O’Level Mathematics and English and/or relevant working experience, and must also pass a written examination and interview conducted by the School.

Foreign Students

Foreign students may be admitted on the basis of a qualification from their home country for which the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) shall determine equivalence. Evidence of proficiency in the English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English speaking countries.

  3. Locate and click on Apply now to proceed
  4. Click on the “Click here to access the Online Admissions System” to proceed

How to Login UESD Online Admission

  1. Obtain an e-voucher
  2. Access UESD Admission Portal Page
  3. On the left side of the web page
  4. Enter the serial number and Pin code
  5. Click on the Login Button to Proceed

How to Check UESD Admission Status

  1. Access UESD Admission Portal Page
  2. Locate and click on “Check the Admission Status” to proceed
  3. Select all programmes from the dropdown menu list
  4. Enter your first name or last name
  5. Click on the search button to proceed

Apply for UESD Admission

  1. Access UESD Admission Portal Page
  2. Locate and click on “Foreign Applicants” to proceed
  3. Fill in the online application code request form.
  4. Click on the “Submit” button to proceed
  5. You will receive a Card Number (SERIAL) and Personal Identification Number (PIN) you can use to access the online registration forms.
  6. Complete the online registration.
  7. Print the completed form and add photocopies of relevant certificates and send them to the UESD address.
