University of Botswana (UB) Online Registration of Courses
Registration is done online, so students can use any Internet facility available to them to register.
New students, especially first years, who have been awarded DTEF Government sponsorship to study at UB, should send copies of the sponsorship offer letters to the following email for financial clearance: [email protected]
The financial clearance process, which is done by the Department of Financial Services, is meant to facilitate the registration process. First, there is academic registration, then there is an application for accommodation for those interested.

For the system to allow you to register ensure all necessary payments are made (for self-sponsored students, pay at the cash office and, make an appropriate payment plan if not all fees have been paid, government-sponsored students are automatically enabled to register unless they are supplementing previous semester courses). Students with FD or FE will not be able to register until they have satisfied the University rules and regulations set for them.

How to Register for Semester Courses at UB
Follow these step-by-step guides to register for your semester courses online at the University of Botswana.
- Access UB Student Portal
- Login with your credentials
- Select Self Service
- Tap on Student Center
- Navigate to Registration to start the registration process
- Go to Enrol
- Select the term by clicking on the radio button next to the available term
- Go to Register
- Tap next to proceed
- Tick the check box next to the course you want to register for (if the class being registered for has more than one-time slot then proceed to choose the suitable LEC class as seen from the timetable by scrolling down to the bottom of the page).
- Confirm if all the courses previously selected are available on the list of Enrolled Courses.
- Select next to proceed to the next stage.
If successful you will receive the message: Successfully Enrolled. Then proceed to the next stage by selecting Return to the student center to see all the courses registered for or to make any other changes to your enrolled courses.
How to Reset your UB Oracle Forgot Password
If you have forgotten your password, or your password has expired, you can have a new password emailed to you.
- Access the Oracle Login homepage
- Tap on Forgot Your Password
- Enter your User ID
- Tap on Continue
This will be used to find your profile, in order to authenticate you.
