SDSU D2L Brightspace often referred to as simply D2L, is the Learning Management System for online classrooms.  D2L is designed to be clean, streamlined, and mobile-friendly leading to an easy experience for faculty and students. Distance Education provides and manages D2L for the San Diego State University, SDSU.

San Diego State University D2L is a web-based system that can be used by instructors for sharing content, leading discussions, posting grades, allowing students to upload assignments, and more.

San Diego State University D2L (Desire2Learn) provides instructors and students with an online space for traditional classroom, online, or hybrid courses.  Instructors and students can use D2L for:

• Course Syllabi
• Readings
• Assignments
• Quizzes
• Grades
• Course files
• Classmate lists
• Assignment dropboxes
• Online discussions

All students will be able to access San Diego State University, SDSU DL2 Brightspace once they have been enrolled in their units/modules. Resit information for students is available here. With San Diego State University, SDSU D2L Brightspace, you have access to announcements from your tutor, key dates, module information, and reference guides

San Diego State University, SDSU D2L works great on a mobile device, a laptop, or a tablet. It will auto-resize itself to the full width of any screen you may use, utilizing a technology called “Responsive Design.

Once you have logged into the San Diego State University, SDSU D2L your personalized selection of functionality will be displayed in a variety of modules (or boxes), each holding a different categorized piece of information or functionality.

1. Explore the San Diego State University, SDSU main website
2. Tap on the “Tool & Quick Links” on the top menu bar for a drop-down menu list
3. Under student from the drop-down menu list, locate and click on ‘D2L’ to proceed

How to login San Diego State University D2L

1. Access San Diego State University, SDSU D2L login page
2. Click on the ‘SDSU users login’ to proceed
3. Type in your email address
4. You will be redirected to your campus’ Single Sign-on System.
5. Follow the instruction to login

How to login San Diego State University D2L (Non-user)

1. Access San Diego State University, SDSU D2L login page
2. Click on the ‘Non-SDSU User Login’ to proceed
3. Type in your username and password
4. Click on the ‘login’ to proceed

How to Reset SDSU D2L

1. Access San Diego State University, SDSU D2L login page
2. Click on ‘Reset SDSU Password’ just below the ‘SDSU login users’ to proceed
3. Click on the “Reset Password” button to proceed
4. You choose from the option of your ‘student or staff’
5. Click on the ‘proceed’ button to continue
6. Type in your ‘student email’ and ‘student ID’
7. Click on ‘proceed’ to continue.
