Voting at a Different Station?

If you applied to vote at another station (Section 24A) on SA Election Day, check the confirmation SMS or email from the IEC for your voting station info.

If you didn’t apply to vote at another voting station (Section 24A) on SA Election Day, you MUST vote where you are registered. You will not be allowed to vote at any another voting station in terms of the new law.

How to Vote in SA IEC Election

Voting for the first time is like unlocking a new level of citizenship. Take a deep breath, cast your ballot with confidence, and know that you’re making history. Here are 5 tips 5 for SA first-time voters;

  1. Confirm Registration Status:

Make sure you are correctly registered well in advance of Election Day

  1. Find Your Voting Station:

Locate your designated voting station ahead of time so you know where to go on Election Day.

  1. Bring Proper Identification:

Bring your Smart ID card, green barcoded ID or Temporary Certificate

  1. Ask for Help if Needed:

Don’t hesitate to ask election officials for assistance if you have any questions or need guidance on the voting process.
