Issuance of teacher license for all in-service teachers
The National Teaching Council (NTC) has opened the Teacher Ghana Portal for all in-service to log In with their details and register for their registered teacher license number. Therefore, after a successful registration with these few teachers pending approval, the National Teaching Council in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service with the support of the Ministry of Education has begun issuing a license to all in-service teachers.
The exercise which is to begin in the Greater Accra Region will commence on Friday, May 15, 2021. For the official launching of the program, the National Teaching Council (NTC) invites all stakeholders and the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum as the guest speaker at the occasion.
Meanwhile, a press released sign by the Ga North Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Esther Jones Sarfo reveals that the issuance of a registered teacher license will commencement on Friday, May 21, 2021. However, qualified teachers, in the context of the current exercise, refer to teachers who have been trained and certified as teachers by accredited colleges and universities that train teachers.
Non-qualified teachers temporary licensing shall follow after registration of qualified teachers.
All teachers within the Greater Accra Region are required to first register on the NTC Portal and avail themselves for licensing at the centres as scheduled.
