Mangosuthu University of Technology Student Portal
The Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) has designed an online Student Information System known as self-help iEnabler for students of the university to login with their 9-digit Student Number and 5-digit PIN to gain access to the MUT Student Portal.
The University encourages its students to take advantage of the online registration process and register safely from home or any place with a computer/tablet/mobile phone and Internet access.
How to Access MUT Student Portal
Here are the quick ways to login ITS MUT Student iEnabler Portal.
- Go to mut.ac.za
- Tap on Student portal on the navigation tab
- Access iEnabler
- Click on Student
- Enter your Student Number and PIN (default (46579)) if you have not changed it.
- Tap on Login button
MUT Online Registration of Courses
Once you have login to the ITS MUT Student Portal. Follow the steps below to register/enroll online for semester courses.
- Login ITS MUT iEnabler
- Navigate to Registration on the left-hand side of the screen
- Read the RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Scroll down and click on the I Accept button
- Tap on Submit Registration on the left-hand side of the screen
- Click on Your Employment Status and select the UNEMPLOYED option
- Save and Continue
The list of subjects you are eligible to register for will appear. Select all the subjects by clicking on the checkboxes next to each subject. - Click on the save and continue button
- Press Continue button
- Click on Accept Registration button. Registration is now complete.
- Once you have completed registration you must click on Proof of registration which is on the left-hand side of the screen.
- You can print your registration status.
Activation of your student card is done on campus
Note: Steps 1 – 12 must be completed before you are fully registered as a MUT student.
How to Get Accommodation
- An applicant must first apply for accommodation even if the applicant is funded by NSFAS.
- An SMS will be sent to the successful applicants
- Refer to the above for deposits to be made should you require accommodation as well.
- The applicant will not be able to gain access to the residence if the payment is not made.
How to Apply for Accommodation
- Applicant must visit mut.ac.za
- Access the Student Portal
- Click on Student iEnabler
- Enter the Student Number and the Default PIN that is on the SMS sent to the applicant
- Navigate to Residence Application
- Read the Residence Rules and Regulations and scroll down and click on the I ACCEPT button then
- Submit Residence Application
- Click on New Record
- Click on Building and a list of Buildings will appear select the building of your choice.
- New students should select between Residence A AND RESIDENCE H
- Click on PROCEED WITH APPLICATION
How to Register for MUT Accommodation
The system will allow an applicant to register for residence once he or she has registered academically. First register academically and then register for residence.
- Access the Student Portal
- Click on Student iEnabler
- Enter the Student Number and the Default PIN that is on the SMS sent to the applicant
- Navigate to Residence Application
- Read the Residence Rules and Regulations and scroll down and click on the I ACCEPT button then
- Submit Residence Application
- Click on Confirm button
- Click on Residence Registration status to print proof of residence registration
MUT Student Email
MUT students’ email systems are now active and functional. Student emails will be the preferred medium of communication among students, lecturers, and the university.
- Access your Student’s Email
- Enter your Student Number followed by @live.mut.ac.za (e.g [email protected])
- Password: @Mut1234567 (last 7 digits of your ID Number)
- Tap the Sign in button
