Mbarara University of Science and Technology Minimum Entry Requirement

Undergraduate Degree Programmes

1. Hold the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)/O’ Level or its equivalent with a minimum of a pass in at least five subjects obtained at the same sitting.
2. Hold the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)/A’ Level with at least two principal passes or its equivalent obtained at the same sitting for applicants to a degree programme.
3. Diploma holders should have at least a credit from an accredited institution.
4. An accredited Higher Education Access Certificate with at least a CREDIT

Undergraduate Diploma programmes.

1. In addition to (i) under the direct entry, applicants must hold the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)/A’ Level with at least one principal pass and two subsidiary passes or its equivalent obtained at the same sitting.
2. An accredited Higher Education Access Certificate with at least a PASS.

Graduate Programmes.

• In addition to (i) & (ii) under the direct entry, applicants should have an honors degree from an accredited degree awarding institution.
