The Ministry of Education and Skills Development, MoESD Botswana has released the Form 4 schools placement, students can now use this short code to check their secondary school of placement.

The Ministry of Education and Skills Development, MoESD Botswana informs the public that the selection process for Form Four (4) placement is complete. All Form Fours are expected to report to their respective schools on this date. Students admitted as boarders will report on;Â check the academic calendar.
Information on all student placements will be available in all Secondary Schools and Regional Education Offices countrywide.
The Ministry has introduced a Short Messaging Services [SMS] notification, accessible from all three local Mobile network service providers.
Parents, candidates, and other interested parties may use the Short Message Services (SMS) code on mobile networks which will post the results of candidates on their mobile sets instantly.
How to Check Form 4 Placement
To access student form 4 placement via SMS short code, students are advised to compose the message as follows;
- Open New Message on your phone
- Enter: Form4 (space) Centre Number (space) Candidate Number (space) Candidate Surname, (e.g Form4 JC0101 0005 Malepa)
- Send your message to this number 16688
- You will then receive information about your placement.
The criterion used for placement was based on catchment areas and the need to balance school enrolments. Therefore, all students’ transfers will be done at the School and Regional levels.
