INEC General Election and Voting Procedures
Here are the election procedures announced by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for all eligible Nigerian voters.
- Voting Starts at 8:30 am
- Check and be sure your name is on the register of voters in that Polling Unit
- Once accredited you will be issued a ballot paper
- You can leave or stay 300 meters away from the voting area to witness vote sorting and counting
- Present your PVC for accreditation using BVAS
- Get authenticated with the BVAS through finger-print or facials
- Go to the voting cubicle to make your choice in secret and drop the marked ballot paper in the ballot box

Here’s how to view your general election results via the INEC results viewing portal.
- Explore https://www.inecelectionresults.ng/login
- Create an Account using your Gmail Address
- Fill in your details on the form provided
- Tap on the Sign in button
- Select your State of Origin
- Tap on Continue
- Login to your Gmail Account
- Follow the link sent by INEC to activate your account
- Copy the activation code
- Input the activation code into the textbox
- Tap on Activate
- Returns to the Login Page
