The Electoral Commission Ghana is replacing lost voter’s ID card before the general election. Do you need to replace your Voter ID Card? Here are the steps to follow;
Replacement of Voter ID Cards
Ahead of the replacement of the voter ID Card, transfer of votes from one constituency to another, and the Application for Proxy Voting exercise slated to start soon, the Electoral Commission Ghana wishes to inform all Voters who wish to replace their missing Voter ID Cards to make payment for the replacement using the EC shortcode *222*1067#. The cost for replacement is Ten Ghana Cedis (GH 10.00) only.
Applicants are to provide the reference code to the District Officer to facilitate the replacement of their cards. The replacement of Voter ID Cards is only for persons who have lost their cards.

Follow these steps to pay for the replacement of the voter’s ID card.
- Dial *222*1067#
- Enter amount required
- Enter reference (full name of the voter)
- Transaction Summary is presented
- Select 1 to confirm details
- Wait for a prompt to authorize the transaction
- Check under My Approvals on *170#”(if prompt authorization failed)
A voter receives an SMS upon the successful completion of the transaction with the payment reference to present to the Electoral Commission of Ghana for service delivery.
