Government agencies, ministries, individuals, and businesses in Ghana make payments through the Ghana.GOV portal using Mobile Money (MoMo). GHANA.GOV is a digital service and revenue collection platform, created to provide a single point of access to Government of Ghana services for the public sector.
The Ghana.Gov portal seeks to deliver the processing of all payments and transfers (both electronic and cash) against predefined service flows of individuals, agencies, ministries, and businesses.
This is to help manage post-payment workflow, customer notification, and feedback and service ratings. Thereby, enabling the Government of Ghana to fulfill its goal of creating a cash-lite economy.
Make Payment through the Ghana.GOV Portal
Sign up before making any payment. After signing up, sign in and proceed with the payment.
- Go to Ghana.GOV.GH
- Navigate to Sign Up to create an account
- Sign in with your credentials to access a dashboard
- Tap “PAY THROUGH GHANA.GOV”
- Input Mobile Money number
- Tap on “Submit”
- On the Ghana.Gov payment portal click “Pay” and sign in with your Ghana.Gov account or sign up for a Ghana.Gov account
- Choose “Mobile Money”
- Tap “Continue”
- Tap on your service provider (MTN, AirtelTigo, Telecel)
- Input Mobile Money number
- Tap “Continue”
- Tap “Pay”
- Authorise payment on your mobile device
NOTE: In case of interruptions during Step “10” of the Mobile Money payments procedure, you may have to check the approval system of your mobile network, and activate your pending transactions using (AirtelTigo Money – *110#, MTN – *170#)
Applicants who have made a payment and it’s been deducted from their account but not reflected should not generate another token. It will be worked on.
