Makerere University Business School selection for specific Programmes is made according to each candidate’s performance and order of Programme choices, taking into account the available subject combinations and time-table limitations, there is normally little need to change the programme or subjects.
However, some places become vacant when some of the students admitted do not take up offers. Such places are filled through a change of programme/ subjects.
Students who wish to change programmes first of all register according to the timetable for the programmes and subjects (where applicable) to which originally have been admitted. Each student who may wish to change his/her programme/ subject is required to pay an application fee plus the bank charges.
It is advisable that only those students who meet the admission requirements and cut-off points for the desired programmes at Makerere University Business School may apply online at MUBS.
MUBS Change of Programme/Campus for Bachelors Students
New entrants admitted to the Bachelor programmes for the academic year 2024/2025, who wish to change their Programme or Campus, are required to follow the procedure below:
- Log into your MUBS student portal, via this link https://myportal.mak.ac.ug
- Enter your student number as Username and Password as your student number. (i.e. username is 240058947 and password is 240058947).
- Navigate to Services
- Tap on “Apply for Services”
- Tap on APPLY FOR CHANGE OF PROGRAMME/CAMPUS (Refer to the programme codes to distinguish programmes offered at different campuses).
- Select your current programme, new programme you wish to apply for, study time, campus, academic year, and optimally, then the reason for changing
- Click on “Submit application”
- To generate a PRN to pay for the change of programme/subjects on the pending application history interface,
- Tap on Generate payment reference
- Use the generated PRN to make payment and bank charges for the change of programme/campus application.
