Learn more about how to book a hostel at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). Room booking for the first year and continuing students at JKUAT is online through the hostel portal. To get started, students are required to use their JKUAT email accounts. - All students are supposed to create a student account on the admission system and upload all relevant documents BEFORE the Reporting Week.
- Government-sponsored students will not be required to pay the household fee on the reporting day; however, the household fee must be paid within one month after HEF confirms your funding band. If you successfully book the University hostel, you will be expected to pay the accommodation fee before entry.
- All Self-Sponsored Students will be expected to pay fees as per the fee payment policy during reporting.
- Students are required to activate their emails and regularly check their emails for any communication from their Colleges/Schools/Departments. To access most resources at the University Campus e.g. online library, WIFI.
JKUAT Student Email
The student’s emails are running on Google Mail (GMAIL). All JKUAT students should use University email addresses.
- Go to https://emailgen.jkuat.ac.ke/
- Enter Registration Number
- Tap on the Submit button to get the Email details
- If Email details are found, follow the steps provided for activation
- Access the JKUAT Student Portal to create an account or login
JKUAT Accommodation Portal
Follow these steps to book a room as a First Year 2024 cohort or continuing student at JKUAT online through the official Hostel portal.
- Go to https://hostel.jkuat.ac.ke/
- Enter Your Email Address (Same as one used on admission)
- Enter Your Registration Number in Capital Letters
- Tap on the Login button
All first-years are advised to update their details on the JKUAT Admission Portal as these details (email address used in the admission system and their registration number) will be used to login to the JKUAT accommodation portal.
You are advised NOT to pay accommodation fees until you have been allocated a room. All payments will be made through the official University bank account numbers as appears in your fee structures. You are reminded to make payment only after securing a room.
