What is GhanaPostGPS?
The GhanaPostGPS system according to developers is a digital addressing system that seeks to provide each landmark or property with a unique digital address in Ghana. The idea is to divide the country into 5m by 5m square grid with each grid being assigned a unique digital address.
What is my Ghana GPS digital address?
The address GA-059-3733 is for the Greater Accra Main Post Office. In a deconstructed form, GA-039 is the postal code for the area, G refers to the region of the location (Greater Accra), while A refers to the district (Accra), and 3733 is the unique address within the postal code. Steps to generate your digital code:
- Go to the Google play store or app store using your smartphone
- Once you have the App downloaded on your phone, generating your address is easy.
- Ensure your phone’s location button is turned on.
- Open the GhanaPostGPS app
- Stand at the gate of your property and click on the “get address” button. Your unique address will appear next to the Digital address, for example Digital Address: GA-543-0125
