Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) – 2021 PHC

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has finished training all field officers (Supervisors and Enumerators) for the 2021 Population and Housing Census. This year’s edition will be Ghana’s first digital population and housing census, following previous Paper Assisted Personal Interviewing (PAPI) censuses that were less underscored with information and technological innovations.

The computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI)

The computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) will be used to conduct a digital census, its promotes the achievement of complete coverage, and ensures quality data. Hence, its implementation requires behavioral change and adaptation to new working approaches, detailed planning, and synchronization of activities.  Among the requirements for adhering to the demands of conducting a digital census is the production of comprehensive documentation of the processes and how to use the computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) systems to collect quality data for all stakeholders involved in the conduct of the census.

Final List of Enumerators for 2021 PHC

Following the initial released of 2021 PHC selection of Field Officers for training and with the criteria for final selection of enumerators, four assessments were conducted on district-level nationwide to grade each trainee for final selection. Besides, all trainees whose names wouldn’t be capture in the final list, but passed the test will be buffer (standby) enumerators. Check the final list of enumerators for the 2021 PHC HERE>>>>

Updating: The list will be updated as soon as other districts have been released.

How much is Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) paying for the 2021 PHC Field Officers

  1. The transportation for the 11-days training exercise would be GH¢ 330.00.
  2. There would not be any payment for the training.
  3. Remuneration for fieldwork allowance GH¢ 2,520.00 and GH¢ 2,940.00 for enumerators and supervisors respectively.

Conclusion

The GSS payment of T&T has begun, most district have already received their transportation allowance. as announced earlier on the mode of payment is to Register for G-Money to ensure smooth transaction.
