GES Recruitment of School Guards, Kitchen and Teaching Assistants

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in collaboration with Ghana Education Service (GES) has opened its portal to receive applications from applicants who want to be recruited, trained, and deployed as School Guards, Kitchen Assistants, or Community Education Teaching Assistants (CETA) in basic and secondary schools.

GES School Support Programme (SSP)

The School Support Programme (SSP) is a collaboration between the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to recruit Ghanaian youth to serve as auxiliary staff at the various Senior High Schools in the country. The programme has been instrumental in boosting the staff strength of the various SHSs across the country in the operational areas of Kitchen Assistants and School Guards.

Community Education Teaching Assistants (CETA): If you have a minimum of a Diploma education, this is your chance to make a significant impact by supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students.

School Guards & Kitchen Assistants: With at least a Senior High School (SHS) education, you can play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for our students.

Eligibility Criteria

• Persons between the ages of 18-35.
• Minimum qualification of Senior High School education.
• Applicants of Teaching Assistants must hold at least a Diploma from an accredited institution in Ghana.
• Community Education Teaching Assistants (CETA)  must have a minimum of a Diploma in Education.
• School Guards & Kitchen Assistants must have at least a Senior High School (SHS) education, you can play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for our students.

Conditions of Application

• Successful applicants will be engaged as beneficiaries of YEA.
• Beneficiaries would be on two (2) years contract of engagement.
• Selected Kitchen Guards will be deployed to secondary schools with boarding facilities.
