During this period, parents will receive offers of placement via SMS. Where spaces are available, parents may receive offers from all schools they applied to. The System will notify parents when there are no further offers available. Parents are advised to accept each offer within 7 days.

Explore the Gauteng Department of Education – GDE Admissions Portal via gdeadmissions.gov.za. Parents can now access the Parent Online Registration Portal and login with their credentials to apply.

How to Check Your GDE Application Status and Admission Letters
- During this period, parents will receive offers of placement via SMS.

NB: if your application is unsuccessful at all the schools you have applied to, the District will facilitate placement in a school where there is space available

Applicants can also track the status of their application online by following the instructions below:
- Go to the GDE Parent Portal Login
- Log in with your Application Details, i.e your username and password received through SMS during the initial stage of your application.
GDE Academic Calendar
Placement offers will be sent to the cellphone number the parent/guardian registered with from 3 October 2022 to 30 November 2022.

| Processing of Incomplete Applications During this period, applicants that did not submit proof of residence during the application period, will be placed at schools where there are still spaces available | 1 December 2022 | 15 December 2022 |
