Candidates applying for admission into Ghana Communication Technology University, GCTU should note that GCTU’s basic entry requirements are acquiring credits (A1 – C6 in WASSCE and A – D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science (for Science related programmes) or Social Studies (for non-Science related programmes) and three relevant elective subjects. How to Apply for GCTU Admission

1. Candidates should purchase an e-voucher.
2. Candidates should visit the GCTU admission portal Page
3. Click on ‘My Application’
4. Login with the form on the right-hand side, using the voucher SERIAL and PIN.
5. Select your mode of entry and indicate your entry type (i.e. Post WASSCE/SSCE, Post Diploma, Matured etc.). Clicks submit to start applying.
6. Fill out the application form and attach your passport picture. The applicant’s passport picture should be in .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif format and must not exceed 100KB in size. Make sure you upload a picture showing your face clearly.
7. Clicking the SUBMIT AND PRINT button will submit the form and generate a reference number which will be sent to the phone number you provided.
8. Make sure you provide the correct information before submitting the form. A change after form submission is not allowed.
9. Finally, track and print your online application form.

2. locate and click on Purchase Form to proceed
3. Enter your Phone number
4. Click on the “Continue” button to proceed
5. Select your Application form type and payment Method
6. Click on Continue to finish making your payment through Mobile Money.

Important Things to Note About GCTU Admission

1. Inconsistency in the name or picture on the registration slip is not acceptable to the university and may lead to the disqualification of affected candidates.
2. Candidates’ names on their ‘O’ or ‘A’ Level Certificates, and other registration documents must be the same.
3. Candidates MUST be sixteen (16) years of age or above to be eligible for the exercise.
4. Candidates awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission provided the result will be available at resumption.
5. A change of programme after the submission of application forms will NOT be allowed.
6. Candidates must ensure that they register with their own valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses.
7. Applicants are to ensure that application forms are posted early enough to be received before the deadline for submission as forms received after the deadline will not be processed.
8. Registration is online, therefore, candidates are not expected to be present physically on the university campus but are advised to register from any location.
