A total of 157 schools will compete in the 2024 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) National Championship, including returning participants and new entrants. First-time schools include Kofi Agyei SHTS, Presby SHS Bompata, Adanwomase SHS, Sirigu Integrated SHS, and Serwaa Nyarko Girls SHS.
The official launch of the 2024 NSMQ edition took place on October 1, 2024, at the GNAT Hall in Accra. The preliminary stage of the competition spans three days, with fixtures for each contest already available.

The 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) preliminary stages are set to begin with an exciting lineup of contests that will run from Monday, October 14, 2024, to Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
