Explore IDL KNUST Student Portal via https://idl.knust.edu.gh/. The IDL KNUST Student Portal is the term to call the website or platform meant to carry out all the admission process, fees payment, and registration of which registration is done at the beginning of each semester.

Online Semester Course Registration Instructions

• To register, students are required to pay their fees before they can register.
• First-year and continuing students are permitted to pay at least 60% and 50% respectively of their fees for the entire academic year to enable them to register for the First Semester.
• The remaining amount, that is, the balance of the fees MUST be paid before registration can be done for the second semester.

Payment of Fees

Payment of fees can be done at any of the following banks: ECOBANK, HFC BANK, MERCHANT BANK, GCB, FIDELITY BANK, and UBA.

After payment, students are to submit their Pay-In–Slips to their Centre for official KNUST receipt.

First-year students/Freshmen & women will be given their usernames and passwords by the University Information Technology Services (UITS) to enable them to register for their courses for the semester online.

NOTE: that, after payment of the required amount of fees, students will receive an email or an SMS which will give the details of username, password, and website for registration purposes.

IDL KNUST Online Course Registration

Every student must be admitted into a Department/Faculty/College for a programme of study and must be properly registered for the cluster of courses for the semester during the official registration period at the beginning of each Semester. The student shall plan his/her course in consultation with his/her academic tutor.

At the beginning of each semester, whether a freshman or a continuing student, you are obligated to do the following:

Undertake to do a biometric registration at any of the points on campus. It is only when this is completed, that you can proceed to do the online registration of courses.

Go to the University’s website (http://knust.edu.gh) and register for your courses for the semester.
