Here’s a brief guide on the Online Re-Exhibition of the Provisional Voters Register (PVR), as announced by the Electoral Commission:
Key Details
- Start Date: Tuesday, 15th October 2024
- End Date: Saturday, 19th October 2024
- Purpose: To allow registered voters to check their details and report any discrepancies for correction.
Electoral Commission Exhibition Mechanism for Voter Verification
- Physical Verification:
Go to Exhibition Centers: Voters are advised to visit their designated Exhibition Centers with their Voter ID Cards to verify their details in person.
- Without Voter ID Card:
Registered voters who do not bring their Voter ID Cards can still verify their details at the centers. However, they cannot request amendments to their information without the ID card.
- Electronic Verification:
Voters can verify their details using the short code *711*51# on all networks.
The electronic option is available both during the Exhibition period and after it ends.
- Reporting Errors:
If any errors are found in the details, the voter must visit their Exhibition Centre to request the necessary corrections.
This ensures voters can conveniently check their information, whether in person or electronically, and correct any inaccuracies during the exhibition.
