Find out the Common Core Programme (CCP) Curriculum Lesson Plan Preparation as in the case with Primary Schools, JHS teachers are also expected to use the Weekly Lesson Plan format in preparation of lessons.
However, they are required to study and undertake demonstration lessons based on the daily Lesson Plan Template as part of the 5-day training.

Stages of CCP Curriculum Lesson Preparation
The Common Core Programme CCP Curriculum Lesson Plan for the Junior High Schools has three (3) Stages of the Lesson. These are;
- Stage/Phase one (Starter)
- Stage/Phase two (Main)
- Stage/Phase three (Plenary)
Phase one/starter
Phase one of the lesson is the starter. Things to do under phase 1 (starter)
- Songs (Poems, Rhymes, Nature walk, Metal games, picture gallery, assessment (RCA))
- Review of learners’ experience.
Phase two/main
Things to be done here in phase two (2);
- Share the performance indicators and keywords with learners.
- Practicing content or concept using any creative pedagogy (eg. Games)
- Explain content or concept using the appropriate Teacher Learner Resources (TLRs)
- Assessment (RCA)
Phase three (3) or plenary
Things to do at phase 3 or plenary;
- Summarize the lesson
- Allow questions from learners
- Give feedback to learners
- Assessment (RCA)
- Introduce the best learning
Proposed Period and Length of School Days
- The duration of one period of instruction is 50 minutes
- The total number of proposed periods per day is 8
- The total number of periods per week is 40 (8x5days)
- The break is 60 minutes. That is for 1stand 2nd
