Colleges of Education (COE) Academic Calendar

Access Colleges of Education (CoE) Academic Calendar. The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCO) in Ghana wishes to inform all Principals, Deans, and Heads of Department, Fresh and Continuing Students of the following re-opening dates/arrangements for 2023/2024 academic year first and second semesters respectively.

Reopening Dates for Colleges of Education

Here’s the calendar for the 2023/2024 Academic Year approved by PRINCOF, GTEC, and Ministry of Education for use by the forty-six (46) public Colleges of Education in Ghana. Find out the reopening dates for all Colleges of Education (CoE) in Ghana.

  • Level 100, 200, and 300 reports on January 15, 2024.
  • Level 400 report to their school of attachment for Macro Teaching on January 10, 2024.

The Colleges will be operating an IN-IN-IN-OUT Residential Policy this Academic Year.

Thus Levels 100 to 300 would be accommodated on campus at the same time while the Level 400 students would commute from out of campus to college for lectures. By this new arrangement, the Academic Calendar will run for all students at the same time this academic year.

All Principals, Deans, and Heads of Department, fresh and continuing students from the 46 Colleges of Education in Ghana are kindly requested to take note of these arrangements for strict compliance.

Jan. 10, 2024B.Ed Level 400 students report to campus for orientation for Macro Teaching.
Jan 14, 2024B.Ed Level 400 students report to their Schools of Attachment for Macro Teaching.
Jan 15, 2024B.Ed Levels 100, 200 and 300 students report to campus for First Semester

(14 weeks).

April 8 – 19, 2024End-of-First Semester Examinations for B.Ed Levels 100, 200, and 300 Students.
April 21 – May 31, 2024Semester Break for B.Ed Levels 100, 200, and 300 students
June 2, 2024B.Ed Levels 100, 200, 300, and 400 students report to campus for the Second Semester (14 weeks). Level 400 students will live outside campus.
Aug. 26 – Sept. 6, 2024End-of-Second Semester Examinations for B.Ed Levels 100, 200, 300 and 400 students
Sept. 7, 2024B.Ed Levels 100, 200, 300, and 400 students go down
Oct. 7, 20242024/2025 Academic Year Begins

In Ghana, most of the Colleges of Education are affiliated with public Universities in Ghana such as; the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Cape Coast, University of Education, Winneba, and the University of Development Studies.

Apply to Study at CoE

Applicants who have yet to apply for the College of Education should buy an admission form to obtain an application serial number and PIN. Proceed to the COE Admission Portal to complete an online application form. Check your admission status regularly.
