CCU Admission Portal

The Coal City University, CCU Admission Portal invites applications from qualified applicants for admission to its Undergraduate, Pre-Degree, and Diploma programmes. To get started, find out Coal City University, CCU entry requirements, and the list of courses offered at Coal City University, CCU.

The following candidates are eligible to apply for our Undergraduate programmes.

  1. Candidates who made Coal City University, CCU their first or second choice in their current UTME application form and have scored a minimum of 170 points in the last UTME.
  2. All other candidates are interested in studying at Coal City University, CCU, even if Coal City University, CCU is not their choice in JAMB.
  3. Direct entry and Transfer Candidates wishing to transfer from other Universities to Coal City University, CCU.

How to Apply To CCU

  1. Explore the CCU Website
  2. Locate and click on Portal to Proceed
  3. New windows open, locate and click on Apply Now Button to Proceed
  4. Locate and click on the “Apply for a Degree Programme” Button to Proceed
  5. Enter details and click on Submit Button to generate an Invoice for payment
  6. Select your Application Type
  7. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click on Submit
  8. Pay online with your ATM card (preferably MasterCard or Visa card) or you go to any bank with the RRR number and make your payment
  9. Click on Complete the Application Form.
  10. Enter the Remita Number you paid for

Then complete the Application with the following:

  • Your receipt from the bank
  • Your O’ Level Result
  • Your O’ Level Scratch Card

Print your Application Form. Bring it to school and collect your five files

CCU Admission Process

Change of Institution

You are expected to Choose Coal City University as your First Choice of University while sitting for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) Universal Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME). However, if you did not choose CCU at the initial stage, you have the opportunity to change institutions. This process can only be done at a Computer Based Testing (CBT) Center or any JAMB Office Nationwide. This process CANNOT and should not be done at a Cyber Cafe.

Upload Of O’Level Result

Currently, admissions are only issued to candidates whose O’Level results are available to JAMB. To ensure you don’t miss the opportunity of gaining admission into Coal City University, make sure you upload your result. For the avoidance of doubt, kindly download JAMB CAPS MOBILE from your Google Play Store or Apple App Store and register to also monitor your admission process.

Print Out Your Original JAMB Result

This is done in CBT Centre or Jamb Office.

NOTE: You cannot submit your files without this document.

Accept and Print the Admission Letter

Click Accept on your JAMB CAPS mobile App. Or go to CBT Centre, accept your admission, and print your JAMB Admission Letter

Submit the Required documents at the CCU Admission Office

Proceed to your Faculty/Department for Registration of courses.

  • Application Form
  • Qualifying Result (WASC/NECO/ND/HND)
  • Baptismal Card/Age Declaration/ Birth Certificate
  • JAMB Result Slip (ORIGINAL)
  • Admission Letters (both JAMB and CCU)
  • Acceptance Form
  • School Fees Receipt
  • Student Profile Update (Bio-data)
  • 8 (Eight) Recent passport (with your name at the back)
  • Attestation Letter (typed) from the candidate
  • Letter of Undertaking (typed) from the Parent
  • Medical Exam Certificate (DONE IN SCHOOL)
  • Health Insurance Receipt/ Certificate
  • Service Charge Receipt
  • Identity Card (I.D Card) Fee Receipt
  • Transitional Studies Programme Fee Receipt
  • University Regulation Handbooks Receipt
  • Matriculation Fee Receipt.

N.B: Please make sure the above documents are in your files before submission. Whatever you have in one file must be in the other files.

How to Confirm Your CCU Admission Submission Status

  1. Access the CCU Portal
  2. Locate and click on Admission Status to Proceed
  3. Locate and click on the “Apply for a Degree Programme” Button to Proceed
  4. Enter your JAMB REG NO and click on Submit button to view your admission status

How to verify/Login your CCU Admission Portal Account

  1. Access the CCU Portal Page
  2. Locate “New student” and then click on “Verify your Account” to generate portal login details
  3. Get account details by entering the JAMB Registration number as the default username and password
  4. Then login with your username and password
  5. Click on “change password” to change your password.

How to get CCU Admission Portal Profile Details

  1. When you are logged in to your account after the change
  2. Click on Fill profile details.
  3. Enter the required information in the field.
  4. Click on Submit button to complete your profile details

How to Register CCU Course

  1. When logged in your account
  2. Click on “Register courses” to register your courses online
  3. Select the required ‘Session’ and ‘Semester’
  4. Click on Register to select the approved courses for your department and level
  5. Click on Register Button to register for the selected courses and print the Course Registration Slip.
