BUK Admission Entry Requirements

Prospective candidates must have sat for the UTME Examinations, must have applied for a course in Bayero University, Kano, and must have scored an aggregate to be determined by the University before they are deemed eligible in subjects relevant to the programme applied for.

Prospective candidates must have obtained a minimum of Five (5) passes at Credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE or Equivalent) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or the National Examinations Council (NECO) in not more than two (2) sittings, including a pass at credit level in both English and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen field of study.

They would then be required to register and write a test (Post-UTME) which is conducted by the University.

3. Locate and Tap on Admission
4. On the Admission Homepage, locate and tap on Undergraduate Admission to Proceed.
5. On the Undergraduate Admission Portal Homepage, locate and tap on Application Portal.
6. On the Application Portal Homepage, tap on Post UTME Application Portal to Proceed

How to Apply at BUK

Here are the steps on how to apply via the BUK admission Portal to become a student of Bayero University Kano.

1. Access BUK Admission Portal
2. Select Post UTME Application Portal 
3. Login using your UTME Number and UTME Aggregate (total score), then upload your passport-sized photograph
4. Fill in the Applicant’s Particulars Form
5. Print your personalized Payment Invoice and use the invoice to make the payment (Tc & Cs apply) at any branch of Banks Listed on your Invoice nationwide.
6. After making the payment, return to the website, buk.edu.ng, login again. Your payment will be validated, after which you can print your personalized Examination Card.

NB: No Applicant will be allowed to sit for the Post-UTME test without a valid Examination Card.
