Here’s a step-by-step guide for reserving a room at GUSSS Hall through the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) online hall management system:

Step 1: Access the Website

1. Go to https://halls.uew.edu.gh on your mobile device or computer.
2. Check if Reservations are Open by confirming the displayed dates for room bookings on the homepage.

Step 2: Log In

1. Click on the “Login” button.
2. If you’re a first or second-year student, log in with your Applicant ID (found on your admission letter, without the “UEW/” prefix).
3. Use your date of birth as the default password (in YYYYMMDD format).
4. Change your password on a first-time login by re-entering your date of birth and choosing a new password.
5. Log in with your new password.

Step 3: Navigate to the Reservation Page

1. After logging in, you’ll see the dashboard with options like “Dashboard,” “Reservation,” and “Payment.”
2. Click on “Reservation” to start booking your room.

Step 4: Select Your Hall and Room Type

1. On the Reservation page, select your hall. Only halls with rooms matching your gender will be displayed.
2. Choose your desired room type and block (e.g., “2 in a room” or “3 in a room”).
3. Review the availability and remaining spaces for the selected room type.
4. Select a room and click “Continue with the selected room” to finalize your choice.

Step 5: Payment

1. After room selection, you’ll see payment instructions and the bank account details for your hall.
2. Make payment to the appropriate bank account.
3. Download and save your reservation invoice (it contains your hall, block, room type, and room number) for your records.

Step 6: Upload Payment Receipt

1. Click “Upload Payment Receipt” in your dashboard.
2. Select the bank account used and confirm the payment details.
3. Upload a clear image or PDF scan of your bank receipt.
4. Once uploaded, your status will change from “Pending” to “Submitted.”

Step 7: Confirmation

1. Await approval as administrators review your payment receipt.
2. After confirmation, your status will be updated to “Approved.”
3. Download and print the confirmation to bring to campus when moving in.

Final Step: Move-In

1. Bring your printed reservation invoice and confirmation of payment to receive your room key upon arrival.
