Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE)
The public is informed that registration for the 2023 PSLE has commenced and will end on 31 March 2023. For more information, prospective candidates are informed to contact centers where they wish to sit for the examination.
All those interested to sit for PSLE are expected to register at BEC-registered examination centers. Those who wish to sit for PSLE as individual private candidates can make arrangements with any PSLE registered center.
- PSLE Registration Fees: Fee per subject: P100.00
Junior Certificate Examination (JCE)
The public is informed that registration for the 2023 JCE will start on 24 February 2022 and end on 06 April 2023. The information regarding registration can be accessed through BEC Malepa Portal.

- All Botswana Open University (BOU) learners should register at their learning centers.
- Those who wish to register as individual private candidates are to use the online registration platform Malepa, (https://malepa.bec.co.bw) and make their payments through First National Bank.
- The public is urged to read and familiarize themselves with the JCE Registration instructions before registering and thoroughly check the details of their applications for registration before submitting.
- Any syllabus entry amendments needed after the closing date will be liable to penalties.

- Fee per Subject: P100.00
Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) and General Certificate of Education (GCE) O’Level
The public is informed that registration for the 2023 BGCSE and GCE O’Level examinations will start on 13 March 2023 to 15 May 2023. The information regarding registration can be accessed through Malepa Portal.
- All Botswana Open University (BOU) learners should register at their learning centers.
- Those who wish to register as individual private candidates are to use the online registration platform Malepa, (https://malepa.bec.co.bw) and make their payments through First National Bank or OrangeMoney.
- The public is urged to read and familiarize themselves with the BGCSE Registration instructions before registering and thoroughly check their applications for registration before submitting
- Any syllabus entry amendments needed after the closing date will be liable to penalties.
