Aston University Blackboard is a virtual learning environment, (VLE) platform that assists learning. Every Aston University student’s Academic modules will have a corresponding Blackboard course. A course is made up of several elements from resources to tools that facilitate learning activities.

View information about your account, upload a photo, and edit your notification settings

- See up-to-the-minute updates across all your courses and organizations, including
- Having access to a new course (For example at the start of a term)
- A new announcement has been posted
- New content has been added
- New discussion board posts
- A mark has been posted
Courses/Organisations
View all the courses you are enrolled in. Those that have not yet been made available for you to view will be marked as Private.
Calendar
Any calendar entries added to your courses will be collated here.
Marks
See provisional grades for work submitted to assignments in Blackboard
Tools
Access global functions that are outside of your courses.
