With the UU Blackboard, you have access to announcements from your tutor, key dates, module information, and reference guides. Ulster University, UU Blackboard provides a one-stop shop for all your course materials. Depending on your module, it may also be used for the following:

• Discussion Forums
• Hosting and management of online assessments
• Collaborative areas for group work with communication and file-sharing facilities
• Online submission of student work
• Embedding multimedia content
• Links to external resources

How to Access UU Blackboard

1. Explore the Ulster University, UU main website
2. Locate and click on Portal on the top menu bar to proceed
3. On your new webpage
4. Scroll down, locate, and click on Blackboard Learn to proceed
5. Scroll down, locate, and click on the “Login to Blackboard Learn” to proceed

How to login UU Blackboard

This login option is only active for certain user groups. It does not work for regular student and staff accounts.

Unless you have been directed otherwise, ALWAYS use the Login using the SSO button.

1. Access Ulster University, UU Blackboard Page
2. Click on the three dots squared just above the box to proceed
3. Type in your username and password
4. Click on the “login” button to proceed

How to login UU Blackboard with SSO

UU Blackboard Learn is now using Single Sign-On (SSO) in line with other Ulster University systems.

If you are not already logged in to any SSO-enabled application (such as Office 365 or the MyDay Portal), you will be asked for your regular authentication credentials using Ulster’s multi-factor authentication (MFA) protocol.

You will then see your Blackboard home page, and also be automatically signed in to other SSO-enabled applications.

2. Click on the “Login Using SSO” button to proceed
3. Type in your email address and click on the “Next” button to proceed
4. Type in your password and click on the “Sign in” button to proceed.
