8th Edition of Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination is Set to Commence

The Management of the National Teaching Council – NTC responsible for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination has announced a date for the first phase and 8th edition of GTLE 2022.

The National Teaching Council (NTC) in a release letter dated March 3, 2022, has requested some Colleges of Education to reserve their halls to be used as centers for the administration of the upcoming GTLE 2022.

  “The Management of the National Teaching Council (NTC) humbly requests the use of your institution’s halls for the 2022 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE),” the Council stated in a statement

GTLE Eligibility

  1. All Graduates who hold Diploma in Basic Education (DBE), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), as well as M.Ed (Masters).
  2. All graduates who offers Education related courses and wish to be employed by Ghana Education Service.
  3. Applicant who fail in one (1) or more subjects.

Schedules for GTLE 2022

Before the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) registration, the National Teaching Council will request all candidates to confirm their status and eligibility via the NTC Confirmation Portal.

Besides, registration is set to begin via the NTC Registration Portal after candidates have confirmed and checked fees.

Payment of NTC Registration Fees

National Teaching Council (NTC) – GTLE registration fees can be made at the following banks nationwide;

  • GCB Bank LTD
  • Prudential Bank Ltd

NB: Aspirants must notify the Bank as fresh students, re-sitting one, two, or three papers.
