40,093 teachers to be recruited into Ghana Education Service (GES)

The Ministry of Finance is set to finalize the financial clearance for a total of forty thousand and ninety-three (40,093) teachers to be recruited into the Ghana Education Service via their GES Recruitment Portal starting November 2021.

This was revealed by the Deputy Minister of Finance Hon. Abena Asare Osei when explaining the cause of the delay in issuing financial clearance toward the recruitment of newly trained teachers with the leadership of the Newly Trained Teachers Forum (NTTF) on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Besides, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Abena Asare Osei made it clear that the Ministry of Education (MoE) under the auspices of Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has requested a total of (40,093) teachers to be recruited into Ghana Education Service (GES) which includes Teaching and Non – teaching staff from Colleges Education and University Graduates.

The Minister is optimistic that, the recruitment process will officially commence in November 2021. Hence the Ghana Education Service (GES) recruitment of Newly Qualified Teachers is still the priority of the current government.
